The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded the Bayview native to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in 2011.
MacDonald was watching TV when he looked at his phone and saw it was Toronto calling. “It’s a little unexpected,” he said by phone yesterday afternoon.
But this is all just part of the job.
“You never know what’s going to happen,” he said.
He said he hasn’t heard a whole lot of details yet. “I’m just waiting for Bob Murray (Anaheim’s general manager) to call me,” he said.
